NOW LEASING May 1, 2023, THE COMMODORE offers students fully-furnished spaces that are specifically designed for university living. Our goal is to allow students to make the most of their experience at school, and to provide them the housing, tools, and resources to foster exploration, growth, and quality of life.

OUR UNITS

Each fully furnished unit comes complete with cozy and trendy furniture, a kitchen fully equipped with appliances, TV, artwork, and built in custom shelving.

Sustainable Living

Our decision to fully-furnish our units reflects our stance on sustainable living; by providing high-quality furniture, we all avoid an accumulation of pressed board pieces on the curb at the end of the lease term as students move out and move on. We hate seeing old furniture end up in landfills, so we do our best to reduce waste through our sustainability initiatives. This way the furniture is designed alongside the spaces themselves in harmony.

OUR COLLABORATIONS

We care deeply about integrating THE COMMODORE into the local community in a way that aligns with and honours residents past, present and future.

This can be seen through our collaboration with and support of local professionals whose work we admire; we do this through our artistic partnerships, interior design roll outs, branding, and architecture.

NOW LEASING FOR 2023

Brown’s Court will house 102 students and will offer them both the convenience of living across the street from UPEI’s campus and the independence that comes with living in your very own apartment. Students will be able to ease into independent living in our purpose-built, thoughtfully designed, fully-furnished spaces, while still having all the benefits of living on res like being surrounded by other students and living practically on campus.

With the pandemic’s detrimental effects on UPEI’s residence, forcing it to scale back on beds and put hundreds of students on the waitlist, Brown’s Court student apartments could not have been built at a better time.

OUR UNITS

Our apartments each come fully-furnished with a soft corduroy couch and cozy armchair, dining room table and chairs, kitchen appliances (including a dishwasher) and lots of counter space, and so much more. We’ve custom-built and rigorously tested all our furnishings to ensure their quality and ability to withstand the test of time, and the tumultuous nature of student living.

Providing students with fully-furnished units is just one of our sustainability initiatives: by offering students high-quality furniture that’s made to last, we’re able to reduce the amount of low-quality furniture (which is what’s usually within the student-budget) that inevitably ends up in landfills.

Our goal is to cultivate a comfortable, safe, reliable, and convenient environment for students that truly feels like home, and that allows them to make the most of their university experience.

COMMUNITY FIRST

As a Certified B-Corporation, our buildings meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. Along with our focus on high design and sustainability, we are also committed to local charitable initiatives including primary schools, community centres and integration services for recently arrived immigrants.

We don’t just manage buildings, we build communities within and around our spaces.

Opening in September 2022, SEE-MORE offers students fully-furnished spaces that are specifically designed for university living. Our goal is to allow students to make the most of their experience at school, and to provide them the housing, tools, and resources to foster exploration, growth, and quality of life.

The building’s architecture is inspired by the aesthetic of classic Maritime row houses. Its function exemplifies our overall mission to responsibly densify communities to increase affordability and cultivate connections within and around the space.

OUR UNITS

Each fully furnished unit comes with custom built-in millwork storage, cozy and trendy furniture, a kitchen fully equipped with brand new, stainless steel, energy efficient appliances (dishwasher, too!), and a personal study nook in every bedroom.

SEE-MORE contains eight fully accessible units, to ensure we support a diverse and thriving community. These units have lower countertops and greater space in areas like bathrooms to facilitate a wheelchair. Exceptionally, they remain unfurnished in order to accommodate any and all specific needs or requirements you may have.

Four Colourways & Sustainable Living

Four different colourways are available to accommodate different students’ styles, each one adding warmth and character to the apartment and giving it a distinct homey vibe.

OUR COMMON SPACES

We know that being a student involves so much more than just going to class, and we understand the complexities and pressures of student life in this crucial time of self-actualization. That’s why we created amazing common spaces in SEE-MORE to encourage discovery, mindfulness/relaxation, socializing, accessibility and play.

Noods 🍜 is our noodle bar, allowing students to grab a quick bite whenever you please and a handy extra space to study and socialize.

Our cafe Bestie , inspired by the concept of dynamic duos, is designed to build and foster connections between students, where you can enjoy coffee as you study and hang.

Our Well Studio 🧘 is a safe haven for students who enjoy nurturing their body and mind through yoga, meditation, stretching, dance, pilates, and any other studio physical activity. We’ll even be bringing in instructors to lead you in practice, since this space is meant to cater to students of all levels and backgrounds of physical activity.

Then we have SEE-MORE Social Club 🕹️, a plush game & movie room for solo or community gatherings.

Our common spaces showcase the intentionality behind our pillars of community, inclusivity, and accessibility. By creating a variety of convenient on-building social and support spaces we can help you make the most of your time on campus and off!

NOW LEASING 2023

Le Mildoré houses up to 279 students and help them make the most of their time at university and in Montréal. It offers students intelligently built, purposefully designed, and fully-furnished spaces, all at an affordable price per person.

A group of former Montreal university students banded together to develop this as the first student housing building in Montreal to ever be built specifically for university life from the ground up. Le Mildoré originated as an idea while they were at McGill and Concordia 20 years ago, they noticed there was a real need for safe, affordable and convenient housing downtown for students.

Fun fact: Le Mildoré is the very first skyscraper to be built without using a crane in the downtown core. Le Mildoré will also be Montréal’s largest building of its kind to only feature bicycle parking. One of our main priorities is sustainability and biking is one of the best ways to enjoy our beautiful city! Moreover, the building’s heating and cooling system will use the domestic water supply to regulate the temperature in each apartment.

OUR UNITS

Each apartment unit has stunning views with big, bright, beautiful windows. They’re also stocked with custom-built, high-quality furniture purposefully designed for student living and tested by our team. This allows us to reduce waste at the end of lease terms, since so many students put their old furniture out on the curb, which often ends up in landfills.

Each unit also features built-in storage, a kitchen with 5 brand new, stainless steel, energy efficient appliances, soundproofing to ease issues with roomies and neighbours, and a personal workstation in each bedroom. Apartments come in four different colourways (red, green, blue and yellow), ensuring that there’s something for everyone and that students feel comfortable and happy in their new home.

Our goal is to foster quality of life for students by providing them with accommodations and amenities that address their day-to-day realities.

OUR COMMON SPACES

Being a student can be difficult and overwhelming at times; we understand that students need support, and it’s our mission to provide them with resources that promote exploration, community, and security. We launched a Community Ambassador program to make sure our students have access to support from mentors living on their floor, as well as our team who are there to tend to maintenance and requests throughout the year. Students also benefit from our two dedicated common study rooms, in-building laundry, and lounging areas.

We are passionate about densifying our communities responsibly and affordably. Many of us also studied at McGill, Concordia, or UQAM, all just steps away from Le Mildoré. We understand what it’s like to be a student looking for high-quality, secure housing and being constantly met with obstacles due to gaps in the market.
That’s why we’re committed to giving back to these communities and providing a solution to the student housing crisis that is economical and sustainable, which also supports local innovation. We are dedicated to building a quality of life for all.
