Wester-Land has three buildings (A, B, C). You’ll be moving into B or C. Building A is still under construction. Building B will have some work being done with the siding.
Your unit is clean, safe, and move in ready.
Ongoing work in Building A means there will be workers on site and possible updates to circulation routes—these will be clearly communicated.
Crews may be active Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Light dust or occasional noise may occur as we wrap up remaining exterior and common area work.
During move-in days there will be no parking allowed at Wester-Land, even if you have a parking pass – until 7PM.
This is necessary in order to accommodate the influx of students moving in and to reduce traffic.
There are various university parking lots nearby to park your vehicle temporarily.
In group leases, it is up to you & your friends how you choose your rooms.
For individual leases, your room letter is assigned to your lease, & changing bedrooms is not possible on move-in. However you are always welcome to assign your lease to someone else. Please write your landlord on Resident’s Center with your wishes.
No. If you would like to have a lock on your bedroom door please make a General Inquiry on Resident Center. We will provide you with instructions on where to purchase the specific lock that fits your door.
You are responsible for purchasing the lock and swapping out the current door handle. You must replace the original handle before you move out. You are responsible for any damages or costs involved.
The mail room is fully operational as of September 1st. However we recommend waiting until at least the 2nd week of September to start ordering anything to the apartment. Things will be moving very fast during move ins and for the first few weeks afterwards. Hold off until things calm down to ensure your package doesn’t get lost.
Wester-Land and University Apartments are not responsible for any lost or stolen packages/mail.
This is common for brand new electrical baseboard heaters. They might have a little bit of a smell when you first start using it, but over time, this will subside.
Ensure that you do not have any furniture or other items resting against the heater.

Using Resident Center ensures your inquiry is sent to the correct team and can be addressed promptly.
The laundry room and the mail room are open.

Your rent is processed through Resident Center.
Rent is set up on autopay and will automatically be pulled on the 1st of each month. Please do not make a manual payment if autopay is active, as this will result in your rent being pulled twice.
Your WiFi network name and password are printed on your modem/router located in the living room. It’s a tall white cylinder with two cables coming out of the back.

Your internet is provided by Rogers at Wester-Land.

Use the PayRange app with Apple Pay, credit card, or Interac debit. Each wash and dry is $2.50.
The laundry room (BUBBLE KING Laundromat) is on Level 1 of Building B, equipped with 17 washers and 18 dryers.
Yes. CCTV cameras are located in all common areas, entryways, hallways, parking, and outside areas. There are no cameras inside resident suites.
The mail room is on the ground floor of Building B (8 Lambe’s Lane). All buildings share this location. You’ll need your FOB to access it.
There are 4 bike areas at Wester-Land, some indoor some exterior. Refer to your Handbook.
We currently have no available parking spots at Wester-Land. If you are interested in parking, please submit a General Inquiry on Resident Center.
Report it immediately through Resident Center. A replacement costs $25. Your lost FOB will be deactivated.

The elevator is reserved for our move-in helpers who will be running your things to your unit once you arrive and check in. We will have hundreds of students arriving on move-in day and reserving the elevators for our helpers ensures we stay on schedule.
Ideally, you will only need to use the stairs once to get to your unit during your scheduled move-in time. Whereas our helpers will be going up and down all day long.
Tenants are welcome to use the elevators after 7PM on move-ins days.
