With the rising cost of living, affording the essentials can be a challenge—especially for students moving out on their own for the first time.

That’s why University Apartments x Wester-Land is offering over 40 grants of up to $1,650 to student groups who lease a 3, 4 or 5 bedroom unit between the dates of June 1 & August 1, 2025.

This one-time grant can be used to help cover rent, home essentials, or other move-in costs. It’s just one of the ways UA is committed to making student living more accessible, comfortable, and affordable.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To qualify for the Student Group Grant, applicants must;

• Be full-time students enrolled at a university or college in St. John’s, and must provide proof of enrollment for September 2025.
• Applicants must also submit proof of intent to sign a lease with Wester-Land between June 1 and August 1, 2025. The grant is ONLY available for full groups of 3, 4, or 5 students leasing a unit together and is not applicable to individual leases.

HOW TO APPLY

Complete the application form below. Only one tenant per unit is required to submit an application to be considered. 

DISTRIBUTION 

Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The application deadline is August 1, 2025, and successful applicants will be notified within 5 working days or earlier. Successful grant owners will receive their grant within the first 2 weeks after they move in.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Eligibility:
This housing grant is available only to eligible tenants who meet the criteria outlined by Wester-land, including but not limited to enrollment in a recognized post-secondary institution and completion of the full leasing application process.

Offer Validity:
The grant applies to leases signed between June 1 ,2025 and August 1, 2025, for occupancy commencing no later than September 1, 2025.

Non-Transferable:
This offer is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and has no cash value. It cannot be combined with any other promotional offer unless expressly stated.

Lease Commitment:
The discount is conditional upon the tenant fulfilling the entire lease term. Early termination of the lease may result in repayment of the granted discount.

One-Time Offer:
Limit of one rent grant/discount per lease or household, unless otherwise approved in writing.

Verification: Tenants may be required to provide proof of eligibility (e.g., student ID, enrollment confirmation, signed lease).

Changes & Cancellations: Wester-land reserves the right to amend or cancel this offer at any time without prior notice, provided such change does not affect already-signed agreements.
