Launching September 1, 2022, LeMildoré will house up to 279 students and help them make the most of their time at university and in Montréal. It offers students intelligently built, purposefully designed, and fully-furnished spaces, all at an affordable price per person.

A group of former Montreal university students banded together to develop this as the first student housing building in Montreal to ever be built specifically for university life from the ground up. LeMildoré originated as an idea while they were at McGill and Concordia 20 years ago, they noticed there was a real need for safe, affordable and convenient housing downtown for students.

Fun fact: LeMildoré is the very first skyscraper to be built without using a crane in the downtown core. LeMildoré will also be Montréal’s largest building of its kind to only feature bicycle parking. One of our main priorities is sustainability and biking is one of the best ways to enjoy our beautiful city! Moreover, the building’s heating and cooling system will use the domestic water supply to regulate the temperature in each apartment.

OUR UNITS

Each apartment unit has stunning views with big, bright, beautiful windows. They’re also stocked with custom-built, high-quality furniture purposefully designed for student living and tested by our team. This allows us to reduce waste at the end of lease terms, since so many students put their old furniture out on the curb, which often ends up in landfills.

Each unit also features built-in storage, a kitchen with 5 brand new, stainless steel, energy efficient appliances, soundproofing to ease issues with roomies and neighbours, and a personal workstation in each bedroom. Apartments come in four different colourways (red, green, blue and yellow), ensuring that there’s something for everyone and that students feel comfortable and happy in their new home.

Our goal is to foster quality of life for students by providing them with accommodations and amenities that address their day-to-day realities.

OUR COMMON SPACES

Being a student can be difficult and overwhelming at times; we understand that students need support, and it’s our mission to provide them with resources that promote exploration, community, and security. We launched a Community Ambassador program to make sure our students have access to support from mentors living on their floor, as well as our team who are there to tend to maintenance and requests throughout the year. Students also benefit from our two dedicated common study rooms, in-building laundry, and lounging areas.

We are passionate about densifying our communities responsibly and affordably. Many of us also studied at McGill, Concordia, or UQAM, all just steps away from LeMildoré. We understand what it’s like to be a student looking for high-quality, secure housing and being constantly met with obstacles due to gaps in the market.
That’s why we’re committed to giving back to these communities and providing a solution to the student housing crisis that is economical and sustainable, which also supports local innovation. We are dedicated to building a quality of life for all.

Along with our focus on high design and sustainability, we are also committed to local charitable initiatives including primary schools, community centres and integration services for recently arrived immigrants.
